As a Psychotherapist, I Do Not:
Please feel free to call or email to schedule a consultation session for me to learn more about the current challenges your facing and your goals for coming to therapy at this time.
We will meet for 60 minute sessions working with either the Internal Family Systems Model, Art therapy and/or Dream Patterning Analysis to address the goals you have set.
We will work together to develop a treatment plan for you involving the development of short term and long term goals as well as frequency of sessions.
Art therapy uses the creative process, pieces of art created in therapy, and third-party artwork to help people in treatment develop self-awareness, explore emotions, address unresolved emotional conflicts, improve social skills, and raise self-esteem. Art therapy primarily aims to help individuals experiencing emotional and psychological challenges achieve personal well-being and improved levels of function.
I do not provide crisis services. Should you be met with a crisis situation Franklin county community resources are available through Northwestern Counseling & Support Services at (802) 524-6554 or (800) 834-7793. You may also dial 911 or go to the local emergency deptartment.
Make decisions for you
I will not make decisions for you, but rather work with you to explore the factors involved in a challenging decision you are being faced with and support you through the process of making the decision.
Prescribe or manage medications
I do not prescribe or manage medications. With your consent I will work to coordinate care with your prescribing doctor to best meet your needs through the therapeutic process.
Internal Family Systems Model
IFS is based on an integrative model. The approach combines established elements from different schools of psychology, such as the multiplicity of the mind and systems thinking, and posits that each sub-personality or part possesses its own characteristics and perceptions. IFS also brings together various strategies from the Bowenian therapy base as well as techniques from more traditional narrative and structural modalities. The different elements are united through the goal of understanding and effectively addressing the different parts of the mind.
